Paytronix Expands its Guest Messaging Feature Set with 
Text Messaging & Push Notifications

This year, we’re introducing two new features that will bolster our already robust messaging platform to help you better reach and engage your guests. Compelling your guests to visit more frequently and spend more with each visit using a single platform will contribute to maximizing the efficiency of your marketing team.  

With our newest member messaging options, you can identify specific guest segments and deploy a campaign to them via text messaging or push notification and measure the results all within our web interface.

Text Messaging –Paytronix is adding the ability to create campaigns that deploy text messages. If your audience is comprised of 18 – 24 year olds, text messages may be the best way capture the attention of these guests. These quick, succinct marketing messages can have a substantial impact on the amount of traffic marketing can drive into locations with a relatively short lead time. 

Push Notifications – Push Notifications are short messages that are delivered directly to the guests' smart phones. Once a guest downloads the merchant’s Paytronix-powered app, these messages appear on the mobile device whether or not the user is currently using the app, if they have enabled Push Notifications in their settings. With the adoption rate of smart phones in the U.S. climbing toward 50%, you’ll be able to reach more guests than ever using Push Notifications. An example of a Push Notification includes announcing limited time offers such as, “$2 Green Beer All Day This Saturday!” 

Our two new messaging options offer all the advantages of segmentation using our Campaign Tool that enables you to send the most relevant messages to the right audience. Plus, our Campaign Statistics including Eat-Thru StatisticsSM give you up-to-the-minute results from each of your campaigns, regardless of how you choose to deploy your message Text, Push, or Email.

J.P. Licks' and Margaritas' Paytronix-Powered iPhone Apps hit the App Store!

We’re excited to announce that two of our merchants recently added the Paytronix iPhone App to their already robust set of loyalty features that help differentiate their loyalty programs in their respective markets.

The App is designed to help merchants capture the attention of members who enjoy using a smart phone to interact with their loyalty accounts, find restaurant locations, track their account balances and identify themselves at the restaurant in lieu of a plastic member card.

Each App is customized by the merchant’s brand and enables the merchant to send push notifications to its members who have downloaded the app to announce timely specials and events happening in the restaurants.

Usha Sundaresan

Usha Sundaresan, a member of our Engineering team, spends her time performing manual and automated QA testing. Usha plays a key role in ensuring new features are tested thoroughly prior to release. She also contributes her QA experience to the product design process here at Paytronix where she shares thoughts on how she's planning on testing newly designed features and how she predicts they may break. 

Usha earned her masters degree in Computer Science in Chennai, India, before relocating to the United States. Her previous experience includes programming, consulting, teaching computer science, and QA testing.

When asked why she was drawn to Paytronix, she said “companies talk a lot about automated testing, but very few have made it a priority and implemented it like Paytronix."

Outside of the office, Usha loves to cook, practice Carnatic music, and spend time with her family including her two sons, Balaji and Gireesh who are picured above.
